David her boyfriend wants to come up and join her but she tells him know she wants to be alone-except for Jared's company.
She finds out why he can't leave, ever. He is up on the times but they can't find a movie to watch so they listen to her CD's.
David shows up and she reads him the riot act and after he leaves she sits down and starts painting while talking to Jared.
His life is drained and he is very weak from his actions...He tells her of the curse...The new owners want to see their cabin but Jared and Alane have other plans...

A short read for those who enjoy humor, warmth, and a charming love story, this ghostly story is for you! A Christmas love story that will leave you with a smile on your face, and satisfaction like a rich cup of hot chocolate.
Another great book by Jenny Lykins. Filled with humor and romance. I love the way she makes the ghost so "real" and keeps the reader hoping beyond hope that things will work out. I am looking forward to reading more of Ms. Lykins' books.
This book was light, funny, and most enjoyable. It's fairly short (1341 locations), and, in my opinion, doesn't overdo either the romance angle or the ghost one. Mistakes were few (most notably sight/site). It's definitely a keeper and MOST highly recommended for a light holiday read.
This book does cater to those that enjoy a paranormal read. However, it does address a normal human desire to want what we can't have. It also promotes trying as hard as you can to get what you want. This book shows that if you keep reaching and striving for something, you might just get it. I loved this positive upbeat book. I will be looking for more books by this author. I love that in the end the ghosts that haunted her saved her in more ways than one.
I really enjoyed this read. I connected with the heroine immediately and adored the poor tortured hero. The wit and humor throughout the story was believable and a great additive to the narrative. I knew that these two would get their HEA, but how it was accomplished was different than what I was guessing.
I will definitely be seeking out other books by this author. I LOVED the warm fuzzies this story provided. I believe you will too, unless you're a jaded heart reader.
This is the second book I've read by this author, and I loved them both. I cried during this one. Wonderful, vivid description, characters you can't help but love, and a very touching Christmas story. I really enjoyed this one and look forward to reading more of her work. I'm going to look for another book by here today. I've discovered a new author I love. Her characters come alive on the page, and the stories are character-driven like I like. If you haven't read this author, check her out. What are you waiting for?
As a fan of Jenny Lykin's books I was so excited to see one of her titles available to download. I knew this one was a Christmas novella so I expected it to be a quick read. Like all her books this one did not disappoint. So many books I read need an editor but not Jenny's books. This was a cute story about a girl and a 200 year old ghost with unfinished business.
Alane is an artist who wants space to work on her art and decide her future. She rents a cabin for some much needed R&R. Jared is a ghost who is cursed to exist on the property he died on. Alane has company whether she wants it or not! Once Jared convinces Alane that he is a ghost and she is not losing her mind the fun ensues. Like all of Jenny's book's this one is a page turner.If you like romantic ghost stories give this one a try and then for a real treat download Distant Dreams.Though all of Jenny's titles are satisfying reads and available for download.This is the one that made me a fan. Please write more Jenny !
